Meet Markus Heon

Markus Heon is one of Southern California's most elite fitness consultants.  He has over 14 years of experience in the fitness industry and is  certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Markus facilitates the needs of individuals ranging from professional and Olympic athletes to the fitness beginner.  Markus also prides himself on his work with young athletes, all of which have gone on to receive collegiate athletic scholarships.  A true testament to Markus’ ability to keep workouts both new and challenging is the fact he retains so many of the same clients year after year.

Markus' interest in fitness began at a very young age.  Playing sports year-round helped him develop teamwork skills and the thirst for victory.   Following his occupational duties with the military, Markus began his fitness career in 1992 at Frog’s Athletic Club in Solana Beach, CA.  It was during his tenure at Frog’s that Markus founded his famous Boot Camp course.  In 2000, Markus began training his clients at Cardiffit Gym in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA.

It has been reported that Markus is a former Marine or a former Navy Seal.  Just to set the record straight, Markus is former military; he served in the US Army from 1989 to 1992.  He was stationed in Berlin, Germany as an infantryman with the Berlin Brigade.  While in the service, Markus earned several Army Achievement Medals from the Secretary of Defense, one for his “superior motivation, discipline, dedication to duty [and his] will to win at all costs.”  Another medal was awarded for his “motivation and technical expertise" while serving as a field instructor during various combat training exercises.

Markus has a simple and practical philosophy to improving one's fitness, "you get out of life what you put into it."  In the financial world it is crucial to pay yourself first when striving to achieve financial freedom.  This statement also holds true concerning an individual's health.  Stay consistent, keep it simple, and stay true to the game and you will achieve your goals.  To contact Markus, click here.
